Planning a trip with family. Two families want to stay in 1 suite at AoA. There will be 4 adults, 2 children 4 & 8, and two 18 mo olds. I have read that children under 3 don't count towards room capacity of 6 people but want to make sure we all fit.

    Hello, Shawn

What would you think about staying in two connecting rooms instead of a family suite?  With a family suite, you will have only one bed with furniture that converts to sleepers.  My teen sons have slept on some of the convertible furniture and weren't as comfortable on it as they were in beds. I just don't think it will be as comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children.

With two connecting rooms, you will have 4 beds which I think would be more comfortable for everyone. One bed and one child per bed? It also looks like two standard rooms is less costly than a family suite, and you will still be at Disney's Art of Animation Resort to enjoy it.
