We're planning a trip for our family of 4 and my sisters family of 5. How can we connect them for planning and payment?

Hi there, Sierra! I'm so glad you traveled under the sea and found your way here to planDisney!

Oh boy! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a trip with your family to The Most Magical Place on Earth next fall. This is a wonderful season to visit and you're sure to make core memories that will last a lifetime! When it comes to planning, connecting with all the Guests in your travel party can make everything easier, from making advance dining reservations to reserving Lightning Lane entrances. I'd love to help!

Sierra, I'd first recommend that the adults in your sister's family make their own My Disney Experience accounts if they haven't already. This way, they will be able to view and manage their plans through their account and in the My Disney Experience app. When you're ready to connect with your sister and her family, log into your own account, hover your mouse over the My Disney Experience tab, and click My Family & Friends. Here, you have a couple of options you can take:

    • If you made the plans and reservations for both families, you may see the names of your sister's family with the words "Plans managed by me" next to them. If this is the case, you'll want to click "Update," then "Share planning with..." and enter their email address. Once they accept the invitation on their end, they can view and co-manage their plans!
    • If you don't currently see your sister's family listed in your Family & Friends List, click "Add a Guest" towards the bottom of the page and choose an option to link the Guests in your sister's family. Personally, I've found that I've had the most success when selecting "Import from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation," but choose the option that works best for you.
Once you're connected with all the Guests in your travel party, be sure that you've also made your theme park reservations with the Disney Park Pass system. Also, keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog to read about the latest news, or tune into the planDisney Podcast for best tips from planDisney panelists, themselves!

I hope I was able to help you with your question today, Sierra. If anything else pops up, please visit us again!

    Life is the bubbles!
