I am planning a trip for 3 families at the end of May 2013. Two families have 5 people in them, and one has 4 people. What would be the best and most cost effective hotel to stay at since we are only in the room to sleep?

Hi Gina. Saving money on a trip to Disney is truly one of my favorite vacation planning topics! I really enjoy searching out the best deals and I'm glad I was able to pick up your question.

You'll want to peruse the Special Offers page of the Disney website frequently for discounts like free dining or a percentage off resort room accommodations. Even if you end up booking now, you can always contact the friendly cast members if any new deals apply later to your May 2013 travel dates.

You'll also want to check out the unofficial website: www.mousesavers.com for a wonderful resource full of money saving tips.

As for the most affordable onsite Disney hotels, you'll find the the Value Resorts offer the most bang for your buck with their whimsical surroundings at a smaller nightly rate. Be sure to look over this in-depth planning guide for Rooms for 5 Guests or More for all of the larger travel party resort options.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel! Please feel free to send more questions my way!
