Kari:
No matter when or what you're celebrating, Disney
is celebrating. Whether you simply want to express that with a free birthday button that you can get at check-in or by purchasing some special surprises to mark the occasion, the sky's the limit at Disney.
First, to get your creative juices flowing, I recommend that you take a peak at
Disney's Custom Celebrations. There, you'll find everything from gifts you can have delivered to your room to custom cakes like my favorite, the Mickey head cake that is perfect for the number of your family. If you frequent our Disney Parks Moms Panel site, you know that my family tends to celebrate with a special meal on Disney property. We've enjoyed the spectacular views as well as the scrumptious food at
Narcoossee's and
California Grill. We've gorged ourselves on ice cream desserts like the Kitchen Sink at
Beaches & Cream, the Chocolate Extinction at T-Rex and the family sundae at Ghirardelli's at Downtown Disney. And we've celebrated by waving napkins at
Chef Mickey's, enjoying the giant aquarium at Coral Reef and doing the chicken dance at Biergarten.
I'm also a big fan of Disney's
specialty cruises, specifically their fireworks cruises. You can fit up to 10 people in your family on one of the pontoons for less than the price of a meal at Disney for your group. I can say the memories made are worth it.
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
