Planning a trip in fall 2010 my husband, son and myself, my husband is a cancer survivor x's 3.He has done so much for us I would like to do something special for him but i'm on a tight budget, any suggestions?

    Dear Michelle,
First, congratulations to your family for getting through cancer not once, but 3 times. 'Surviving' is a verb..and y'all are doing just that! My husband is a cancer survivor also & he always says that it wasn't just him going through cancer, but the entire family.
Every day is an amazing day to be alive & being at Disney World makes that even sweeter!

For free you can pick up a button at Guest Services in the Parks that says "I'm Celebrating!". Stop by & pick one up for him. Cast Members throughout the Parks will go out of their way to acknowledge & treat him special when they see the button. Also for free, during dinner you can raise your glass to him as you acknowledge everything he has gone through while still managing to be a great father/husband. A heartfelt toast would be nice in the evening when the fireworks start too...a lovely backdrop.

And for a price... you can book a 20 to 30 minute portrait session with a Disney Photographer at some of the deluxe resorts for your family. The sitting fee is around $50 & can be booked up to 30 days in advance by calling 407.934.4004

You can order a special cake or dessert. See this Customize your Celebration link for descriptions.

Most importantly, your family will be together in the happiest place on Earth. A chance for you all to forget about cancer, if only for a little while, & celebrate him, you & your precious family.
