Welcome to planDisney, Stefanie.
The Fall is a truly wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. My wife and I did a Disney honeymoon in the Fall and we loved all the Halloween décor around the Theme Parks. Make sure you stop by
Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom Park or
Disney's Candy Cauldron at Disney Springs for a delicious caramel apple!
Unfortunately, there are no pastoral discounts available for Guests staying at Walt Disney World. However, as a pastor, I think this is a fantastic idea! In fact, it might just be the greatest idea I've ever come across. The next time I see Mickey, I'll mention it to him and see what he thinks. Let's wish upon a star and see if such a discount magically appears in the future.
Stefanie, even though there are no discounts available for pastors, there are many other ways to save a few pennies at Walt Disney World.
- You can currently save $20 per ticket when you purchase 3-day or longer tickets online as compared to the price at the ticket window.
- Frequently visit the special offers page on the Walt Disney World website.
- Visit the Theme Parks on weekdays, as tickets tend to be more expensive on weekends.
- Bring your own snacks. We always stuff our backpacks full of granola bars, beef jerky, dried fruit, nuts, etc., so that we don't blow our budget on all the tempting treats sold in the parks. That doesn't mean we don't buy ANY Disney snacks!
- Bring your own refillable water bottles. There are plenty of refill stations in the Theme Parks. And did you know that you can also ask for free ice water from any quick-service restaurant?
- Enjoy a "free" day. Instead of visiting a Theme Park one day, take a stroll around Disney's BoardWalk, visit the animals at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, take to the skies and enjoy the sights on Disney Skyliner, browse the many stores at Disney Springs, rest and relax by the hotel pool, or take a water taxi across Seven Seas Lagoon (tip: if you go at the right time, you might see fireworks).
I hope that information is helpful, Stefanie. Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Have a wonderful vacation!
Mike
