Hello All, Planning a trip for Fall 2012 and considering Shades of Green. Does anybody know if you can purchase Disney Dining pkgs if you stay at this resort ? I know the other resorts pretty much all participate. Love the panel and info in it - Thanks!

    Hello Heather!

Shades of Green is such a fantastic property! I love the rooms and the beautiful landscaping and theming.  And who can resist a Mickey Mouse shaped pool?  If you have a gold enthusiast in your party, you can't beat the location-you're just steps away from PGA level golf courses.

We've stayed there numerous times, including our honeymoon!  I also love that it's just steps away from the Polynesian Resort.  We walk over in the mornings to hop on the monorail or dine at 'Ohana.

Unfortunately, you can not participate in the Disney Dining Plan while staying at Shades of Green.  What we like to do instead is to get a Disney Gift Card and load it up little by little throughout the year.  We then use that card as our dining budget for the vacation.  It's worked out very well for us!

You will, however, be able to participate in Disney's Extra Magic Hours as a Shades of Green Resort guest!  It's wonderful to be able to enter the parks early or stay up late to keep the magic going a few hours longer.

No matter where you choose to stay, you're going to have a magical Fall vacation!  Please come back and see us if you have any more planning questions!
