    Planning our trip for end of September, and wanted to start buying Disney Gift cards to "stock up" for our trip and our purchases. If i buy a gift card today, are there any monthly fees for having the card that depreciate the balance?

    The answer to your question is "no, there are no fees or anything to depreciate the balance".  Buying gift cards is a great way to save for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  They can be used to cover your hotel stay and you can use them for purchases throughout Walt Disney World, including most purchases for food.
