    I am planning a trip for the end of September for a large family, 5 adults and 4 kids aging between 2-8. Would the mickey's not so scary halloween party be going on at this time and would it be good for all of us to go to? And when do tickets go on sale?

    Hi Lindsey,

    Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party happens to be my absolute favorite special event at Walt Disney World Resort. Seeing all the characters in their Halloween costumes and being able to trick or treat in one of the most magical places is worth the price of admission. The Boo to You Parade is one of the best parades that Walt Disney World puts on and HalloWishes (fireworks show) is an enhanced version of their normal fireworks production. It is also a great time to see characters that don't often come out (if at all) during the rest of the year. For example, you'll see a lot of the Villains and some fun characters at the Haunted Mansion. So, with something for every age group, I think you all would absolutely love it.

    Historically, the party dates begin in mid-September and go through Halloween. However, the 2014 dates have not been officially announced yet. These dates are usually announced in late spring in May. Keep in mind that this is based on past years, so I can't say for sure when the party dates will come out. My best suggestion is to keep an eye on the special events page and the Disney Parks Blog, as this will be the first place it will be officially announced.
