    We are planning our trip the end of October 2009. My girls are 7 and 10 - I'd like suggestions on a deluxe hotel - we probably just want to do MK,Animal K & a water park. We will just be there 5 days-would like a hotel with a great pool (slides,etc).

    Several clues in your question lead me to think that the Polynesian would be a good fit for you and your girls:

    1. Magic Kingdom is tops on your list and it's only a monorail ride away!  When it comes to transportation to Animal Kingdom or the water park, all resorts take buses, so Magic Kingdom was the deciding factor.
    2. You'd like a Deluxe hotel and a slide: of the four deluxes near the Magic Kingdom, the Polynesian, in my opinion, has the best pool experience.  Although other Deluxe hotels may have slides, those with comparable experiences are over in the Epcot/Disney Studios area.
    3. You're planning on visiting Animal Kingdom, which tells me you like adventure!  The tropical feel and theme of the Polynesian will be an extension of that adventure!
