we are planning a trip for the end of May, and i am undecided on which resort to stay in that would be fun for the kids. and also what to visit when we arrive there. this is our very first visit. could you give me a little tip. Thanks!!

    Hi Kelsha -

Wow, your first trip is just around the corner!  Deciding where to stay can be tricky.  Every resort has something different to offer, and they all do a great job of adding some extra magic to your stay.

What is your budget?  If you can afford a deluxe resort, by all means, go for it!  You won't be disappointed.  The theming, service, location, and amenities at these resorts are well worth the money.  However, that doesn't mean that the moderate or even value resorts aren't nice.  They have great theming, nice pools and extra activities as well.  And saving money on your hotel may allow you to add a few extra character dining experiences or activities into your plans.

My favorite resort is the Beach Club.  It's within walking distance to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.  The main pool is incredible and Cape May Cafe has one of my favorite character breakfasts in all of Walt Disney World.

If you'd like to ask a follow-up question once you've narrowed down your choices, we on the Mom's Panel would be more than happy to chime in with our opinions.

Have a magical vacation -- wherever you decide to stay.

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
