We are planning a trip the end of May early June (2024). I want to stay at the Grand Floridian however it is hard for me to find out if the lobby will be under more construction and if all the rooms will be updated by then. Do you have any new info?

    Hi there, Heather!

With such a grand vacation on the horizon, I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney! In my opinion, there's no better way to immerse yourself in the magic of Walt Disney World Resort than by enjoying a stay in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and as a Guest of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you'll be immersed in luxury as well magic.

The supercalifragilisticexpialidocious theming of the newly refurbished rooms at Disney Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is sure to afford Guests a jolly holiday, and I can happily share that I just spoke to a friendly Cast Member who informed me that refurbishments in all Guest rooms have been completed. Unfortunately, he was unable to verify whether or not the lobby would be under refurbishment during your vacation in May, but helpfully added that he was recently a Guest of the resort himself and observed that the current refurbishments are all exterior in nature yielding minimal Guest disruptions due to construction.

If the lobby does happen to be undergoing refurbishment during your stay, I hope you'll take the chance to sit and enjoy some of the Grand Floridian's dining options. This would enable you to enjoy the elegant atmosphere of the resort hotel even without lingering in the grand lobby. My husband and I love unwinding at Enchanted Rose and have celebrated several special occasions at Narcoossee's as the Electrical Water Pageant drifts by. With the recent announcement of 1900 Park Fare's reopening date, there is truly something to make everyone's stay at the Grand Floridian practically perfect!

I hope this was helpful, Heather, and that you enjoy your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth. If any additional questions arise as you are planning, feel free to drop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    Hakuna Matata,
    Lizzie
