Hi, planning trip for Easter week'10. We have the MYW base ticket no hopper. ? is I am wondering would it be less crowded to visit the parks when they don't have their Extra MH days or does that not matter?

    Hi Andrea,

Visiting at Easter will be a lot of fun, as long as you prepare yourself for large crowds!  Make sure you call for dining reservations as soon as you are able.  With a little advanced planning, I think you'll find that Easter is a very festive time to be at Walt Disney World.

As far as extra magic hours go.  Since you don't have a park hopper pass, I recommend avoiding parks on days that they have extra hours.  Disney mom Amber has a great strategy, she visits the parks that had extra magic hours the night before.  For example, if the Magic Kingdom has evening extra magic hours on Thursday night, she visits that park on Friday morning -- she figures a lot of people were at that park the night before, so they'll head elsewhere for the day.  I think that's a genius idea!!

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
