I am planning a trip for early Dec. 2011. We are bring my daughter who will be 5 at the time of our trip. We are deciding between the Coronado Sprins or the Port Orleans. Any advice as to what would be the better choice also French Quarter or Riverside?

    Hi!

My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I love the theming of that resort, especially the Alligator Bayou section.  I also love the fact that it has a Table Service (full service) restaurant available for dinner in addition to a nice food court.  It also has a lot of services and amenities and a very nice pool, with a relatively long water slide.  There's also boat service to Downtown Disney that is very fun and relaxing to do at night.  You can also rent watercraft and bicycles at the resort and even go on a carriage ride!

Riverside and French Quarter are sister resorts.  You can walk between them, and use the pool at the other resort.  I personally like Riverside over French Quarter, but I know a lot of people prefer French Quarter because it is smaller and thus you may not have to walk around as much.  However, I think the food court at Riverside is nicer and, as I wrote, I like having the Table Service restaurant available.

    Good luck with your decision!
