Hi! I am planning a trip to DW Jan 29 - Feb 3 2013 with my husband and 4 yr old and am debating between a stay at the Poly or Contemporary. What are you recommendations?

    Hi Jennifer,

Both resorts are awesome!  They both provide easy access to the parks, have great family restaurants, fun pools, and provide an amazing view of Magic Kingdom.  Really, you can't go wrong with either.

If you can get a tower room, my first choice is Contemporary.  There is something magical about staying in a resort that has the monorail running right through it.  You can walk to Magic Kingdom, and getting to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) is a breeze.

Polynesian is nice too, especially if you can get a room in Tahiti.  You'll be able to walk to the TTC to catch the monorail, boat or bus to any park.  The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming.  I love just sitting on a swing at the beach to unwind in the middle or at the end of a busy day.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
