Hello Tina!
I am thrilled to hear you are planning your next Walt Disney World adventure. The fall is a very beautiful time to visit with lighter crowds, cooler weather and beautiful decorations.
The first weekend in October is host to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend at Disney's Hollywood Studios. You may see a bit of increased attendance over the weekend, but it will be a great time to take in all the other wonderful attractions the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, such as: Downtown Disney, miniature golf, water parks, or resort pools & amenities (if staying on property.) Another thing to account for, when planning your days, is whether or not to take part in the
Extra Magic Hours (again, if staying on property.) My family loves the extra time in the parks and usually plan our itinerary around enjoying them. It is especially convenient to experience them with Park Hopper tickets because you can spend the Extra Magic Hours in one park and enjoy another park for the rest of the day. If you haven't attended
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party before, I highly recommend it. The special parade and Happy HalloWishes fireworks show are some of my favorite park experiences.
Assuming you are staying on property, I would probably plan:
Thursday - Magic Kingdom morning Extra Magic Hours (EMH) followed by the day in Epcot
Friday - Magic Kingdom
Monday - Animal Kingdom with morning EMH followed by evening EMH (after AK closes) at Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios
Tuesday - Hollywood Studios and wherever else you'd like more time
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else, Tina. Happy planning!
