I am planning a trip to DW the first week of March. We are using the heroes salute tickets for the 6 (4 kids) of us and Im trying to decide if we should stay on site (have to have a suite bc of our size)and get the plus dining meal plan or off site & wh

    Hello Dani!

The Walt Disney World Resort has many options for families of five or more!  And with Disney's Armed Forces Salute room discounts, it makes it even more affordable for larger families to stay right in the middle of the magic.

Out of all of the options, for your party, I would choose the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. These cabins will fit up to six guests comfortably.  There is a small kitchen area (with all of the accessories) and a BBQ area outside.  You can cook meals at your leisure and Mousekeeping will even do your dishes for you!  You're also close to Chip n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long, horseback riding, a fantastic pool, and the best part- you're only a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom!!

For me, I would definitely choose to stay on-site, even if you choose not to do the Disney Dining Plan.  We love having complimentary transportation to and from the parks and access to Extra Magic Hours.  If you have a car on your vacation, you'll be able to park for free at the theme parks as well.

You can add the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation at any time (up to 3 days prior to your arrival), so you don't need to decide right away.  Also be sure to check if the Cabins are eligible for the Armed Forces Salute room discount during your vacation dates.

I hope this makes your decision easier.  Please come back if you have any more questions so we can make your magical vacation dreams come true!!
