Hi Amanda! What a great question for the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
As a mother of children with food allergies, I know just how important it is to make sure that your child’s food is safe from the allergen(s) that they react to, and also that there are enough choices for your child. One of the reasons that I love the Walt Disney World Resort is because in my opinion they have gone above and beyond to make sure that they can accommodate people with food allergies.
There is a special section on the Walt Disney World Resort website specifically dedicated to
Special Dietary Requests and it is a great place to start researching how Disney accommodates food allergies. They recommend that you contact them even before you arrive for your vacation so that they can start planning for your arrival. If you are requesting an advanced dining reservation, make sure to note on the reservation the allergy. When you arrive at a dining location, make sure to ask to speak with the chef that is on duty and they will be happy to help you with your allergy needs. You also are allowed to bring food into the Walt Disney World theme parks, just notify the Security at bag check that there is a food allergy in your party.
It is my opinion that there will be plenty of choices for your daughter to choose from. I really believe that Disney does an outstanding job at making people with special dietary needs feel comfortable and just like everyone else!
Have a magical time!
