Hi, I am planning a trip to DW early Feb. 2012 with my husband and my daughter, who will be 17 months. This is our first visit. I am trying to decide between these hotels: POP Century, POFT, Coronado Springs, and CBR. Any suggestions?

    Hi Jocelyn!

ALL of the Walt Disney World Resorts are wonderful in their own special ways.  However, there are some differences which may weigh in your decision-making:

POP Century Resort is considered a "value" resort.  The amenities are still wonderful, it's just that there are fewer of them available, thus the "value".  We have found the beds to be less comfortable and the rooms a bit smaller.  Counter service food and snacks are available for purchase, but there are no table service restaurants onsite.  Transportation is by bus only.  The swimming pools are really great and the overall atmosphere is still very "Disney"!

All the others are considered "moderate" Disney Resorts.  The amenities are more elaborate, and table service restaurants are located at each one, along with the counter service and snacks.  We have found the rooms larger, and beds more comfortable.

Port Orleans French Quarter is very beautiful and offers the traditional feel of southern Louisiana.  Transportation is available via bus and by boat to some of the parks.

Coronado Springs is very large, designed as a convention resort.  You will be walking more here, however internal shuttles are available. The theme here is elaborate, and the dining options are excellent.

The Caribbean Beach Resort is also very nice, with beautiful Caribbean themed touches throughout the property, including the awesome pirate-themed swimming pool.

If you are taking out the cost factor, I would suggest that you would feel more comfortable at either the Caribbean Beach Resort or Port Orleans French Quarter for your first visit while traveling with such a young one.

I hope you have a wonderful time!
