We're planning a trip to DW in April. We're staying at the Old Key West Resort. What's the best area to request for our room?

    Hi Laura,

Old Key West is one of my family's favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts.  It"s beautiful grounds, magnificent pool and HUGE villas are a wonderful retreat after a long day in the parks.  The short boat ride to Downtown Disney makes going there a great choice for dinner and shopping in the evening.  And perhaps, most importantly, Olivia's (the table service restaurant at the resort) serves THE best key lime pie in "the World!"

As for which location is best for your family, it depends on your personal preferences.  For my clan, staying near the hospitality house (which is the same area where the main pool, Olivia's and surrey bike rentals are located, and the hub for many resort activities) works really well.  My kids love to go over to the rec room and participate in arts and crafts, play Wii, rent bicycles, etc.  If you would like a villa near the hospitality house, you should request one when making your reservation.  Some guests prefer a more serene location, away from the Hospitality House, near one of the "quiet" pools, which are all lovely, and tend to be less crowded than the main pool area during the afternoon.

Whichever location you chose, have a magical trip!
