Hi Haley,
Thank you for bringing such a great question to us!
Since you will be booking two different resort hotels, you should select the child's age at the time of each stay. I presume that you have her listed in your
My Disney Experience account and you have indicated her age with her profile. Each time that I have done a split stay, those two stays have been treated as distinct stays. We literally have two different
advanced dining reservation days as well.
As much as I love experiencing different resort hotels, I always consider the challenges of split stays. Even though Disney's luggage transfer service with Bell Services is super helpful, I still hate having to pack up and have the luggage transferred. And then on one trip, we had to wait on the new room to become available. So, if your daughter will need a nap and you have plans to go back to the room, consider your alternatives on the day that you switch resort hotels. Although our rooms are often ready prior,
official check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. for Disney Resort hotels, 4:00 p.m. for Disney Deluxe Villas.
As you continue to plan, I do hope you have familiarized yourself with all of the new digital tools in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. We especially enjoyed using
Mobile Dine Check-in and
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering on my family's last visit. On my trip last week I was able to use
Disney MagicMobile service to enter the park!
I can only imagine the excitement in your household as you plan this trip for your daughter. She will be such a perfect age to visit! As you get closer to your trip, be sure to make
advanced dining reservations, especially for character meals. Our favorite is
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera.
Haley, do tell your daughter that Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the rest of the gang are ready for her arrival. We are so excited to welcome you to a world of magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
