Planning a trip during Christmas break for my family, which includes our two girls, 6 yr old and 20 yr old. Which resort would you recommend to stay at during our trip? We have stayed at the Port Orleans - Riverside once before.

Happy New Year, Kerry! I see you're already looking forward to next Christmas at the Walt Disney World Resort. You'll fit right in here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel - we love to plan ahead!

Walt Disney World is especially shining, shimmering and splendid at Christmas time, from the Parks to the Resort hotels. I'm sure we can find the perfect "home" for your family.

For a special holiday treat, you can stay at one of the Magic Kingdom area Resort hotels. From larger-than-life gingerbread creations to a tropical holiday oasis, each has its own holiday charm. Plus, easy access to the Magic Kingdom Park is super convenient for a late night at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party with your little one.

If you prefer a more budget-friendly place to get those sugar plums dancing in your heads, Disney’s Pop Century Resort makes for a fun, funky holiday. Even the Guests get in the spirit here with decorations in their room windows.

Kerry, my family's favorite home-away-from-home for the holidays is the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. You can take a horse-drawn carriage through the rustic setting and admire the elaborate holiday displays set up by the campers. I just know both of your girls will love it!

I hope this helps you plan a jolly holiday stay at Walt Disney World, Kerry. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
