Hey there, Kathleen, and welcome to planDisney. June will be here before you know it and that means... it's Disney time! So make sure you pack your sunscreen, cooling towels, hats, and other sun and heat repelling items because Walt Disney World Resort is both hot with temperatures and entertainment. Ponchos and umbrellas are super helpful during afternoon pop-up showers which are excellent times to wait in shorter lines as the crowds disperse into restaurants and merchandise locations.
Walt Disney World Resort date-based theme park tickets have a use window and they can be used in any combination during that period. For example, if you buy a three-day ticket then you have five days to use all three admissions. So, a three-day ticket that begins on a Wednesday can be used until the following Sunday. You could go for three days in the theme parks or every other day; it's your adventure to choose. After Sunday (the fifth day), the ticket, regardless of how many admissions remain, will expire.
During the summer the restaurants get very busy. I know you want some flexibility but if you want specific
dining experiences then I suggest you book them all 60 days before your check-in date. Booking 60 days in advance for up to 10 days of your Resort hotel stay is a major
benefit of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Other Guests are only allowed to book 60 days in advance one day a a time.
Another recommendation for the three-day ticket holder is to consider adding the
Park Hopper Plus Option which will get you three admission into the
Disney Water Parks or rounds of miniature golf at
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf. You could use those on your non-theme park days as there is so much to do beyond the theme parks.
Kathleen, I hope this information helps you have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious adventure this summer.
