I am planning a trip to DL/DCA for May 2013. As a frequent WDW visitor and one visit to DL/DCA in 2004, I was wondering how many days should we plan to visit the parks on our upcoming trip? Cars Land and WOC is at the top of our "must see" list.

Jodie, I am so glad you asked me this question. The Disneyland Resort is the perfect vacation destination for you and the family in 2013. With the all new Cars Land and Buena Vista Street at Disney's California Adventure and all the magic at Disneyland, great times with the family making magical memories await you all at the Happiest Place on Earth. Speaking of magic, here is a video link starring yours truly, to show you all of the Holiday beauty and pixie dust going on right now. I have determined that four days at the Disneyland resort would be the perfect amount of time to get a real taste for all of the Disney magic. This way you can visit both parks, Downtown Disney and still get to spend some quality time at the Disney hotels relaxing and enjoying all they have to offer. As for must sees let's start at Disneyland. I would begin with the Indiana Jones Adventure. It is like Dinosaur, but a million times better. From there you must ride all of the attractions that are similar to those at Walt Disney World but different. Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion are all unique and you will love spotting all the differences. You must take a journey on the Matterhorn too. At California Adventure be prepared to be wowed. Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land is the ultimate Disney driving experience. The whole family will enjoy a ride on Monsters Inc., Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. Try to smell the ginger in the sushi scene! We love ending the night with a viewing of the World of Color followed by a few rides on Grizzly River Run before taking the few steps into our hotel at the Grand Californian. Jodie, I just know that you are going to have a great time at the Disneyland resort and I hope to get to see you at the parks when you arrive.
