We are planning a trip to DL in late May staying in a villa at GC! As frequent WDW visitors, we are hoping to see WOC! Should we book a WOC dining package? Curious to know best strategy for optimal viewing. How far out are park hours normally released?

    Hi there Jodie,

I am happy to hear that you've decided to stay in a villa at Disney's Grand Californian!  You are gonna fall in love with the Arts and Crafts style architecture and the rustically-elegant decor.  It's very reminiscent of Walt Disney World's Wilderness Lodge, but very unique at the same time!  I love the fact that this hotel is literally located right in the middle of the magic and even has an exclusive guest entryway into California Adventure!  This means you can hop out of bed, throw on some sweats and head over to Grizzly River Run to get soaked without having to worry because you can be back in your room in a matter of minutes to change into some dry clothes!  Oh the luxuries! ;)

Since this will be your first time experiencing the spendor of World of Color, I think you'll really benefit from booking a dining package which will grant you exclusive access to a front and center viewing promenade and a fabulous meal in one of California Adventure's fabulous dining locations.  Having that preferred access ensures a great view and eliminates the need to arrive super early to secure an optimal spot!

Here's the best part, World of Color Dining Packages are available at Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge and this is a dining experience you won't want to miss anyway, so it's like killing to birds with one stone!  All you need to do is order an entree and an appetizer or dessert and your server will present you with passes for the reserved area.  Carthay has quickly become my "go to" dining locale at Disneyland... one you definitely won't want to miss!  You can make a reservation by calling Disneyland Dining at (714)781-DINE or by emailing your preferred date, time, party size, phone number, and name to Dine@Disneyland.com.

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
