Hi Sarah, Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I completely understand the need to have something specific while sleeping - I like to sleep in a cold room. (And while it may not feel like it at first, the rooms at
Pop Century Resort are able to get really cold.)
While there are no rentable fans available at the Resort Hotels, and the only fans for sale at shops around Walt Disney World Resort are the battery operated kind that clip on to strollers, I do have a few solutions that might help.
~ For a $5 fee per-package, you can order a fan (plus anything else that you cannot pack) from any online retailer and have it shipped to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel ahead of your arrival. (Just be sure to include your arrival date or reservation number in the shipping address.)
~ If you're more about the sound than you are the circulation, there are some amazing sound machine apps that can mimic everything from a fan to the lull of a train car to a rolling thunderstorm.
~ But if it really is about the noise and the air flow, most big box stores carry small and affordable (and really strong) table top fans that do fit inside a large suitcase, which the TSA has no problem with you checking in your luggage. (My dad travels with one that takes up half his suitcase, but after years of doing so no one has said anything yet.)
You're really going to enjoy your stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, Sarah. From the giant icons of the past to the perfectly themed pools. (AND I heard that
Everything Pop Shopping & Dining just started serving Dole Whip and Pineapple Floats!)
I do hope you enjoy your stay, Sarah, and we'll see you real soon!
~Kristen
