Greetings from the Sunshine State, Kirsten! Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question. Let’s get to planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation for your family!
One of the great things about living in Florida is sharing our love of Disney with friends and family who come to visit. Florida residents do get
discounts on multi-day tickets, but each adult who plans to use one must show proof of Florida residency before activating their tickets. But there is still some pixie dust that could come your way, Kirsten, because residents can buy tickets for Guests under age 18! Grandma will just need to provide her
proof of Florida residency, and you’re ready for the fun to begin! Just keep in mind that there aren’t any discounts on single-day tickets, so if you only plan to spend one day in a Theme Park, you won’t need any special ID.
And remember, before you hit the Theme Parks, you'll need to make a
Disney Park Pass reservation. All you need are your tickets and a
My Disney Experience account, and before you know it, you can start dreaming of all the Mickey-shaped snacks you'll be eating!
Kirsten, while you’re making your plans, be sure to check out
planDisney’s Panel Extras page. That’s where we’ve compiled lots of tips to help make sure your vacation is practically perfect in every way!
I hope this helps you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World, Kirsten. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
