    Planning a trip to Disneyworld arriving Jan 4th, 2020... Would the icicle lights still be up at the castle?”

    Hi Elaine!

    Christmas! Christmas is my favorite holiday at Walt Disney World and Elsa's shimmering lights on Cinderella Castle is the "icicle" on the cake!

    Typically Christmas decorations, including the beautiful icicle lights, remain in the parks and resort until around mid-January. In the past, the Christmas decor would remain up until just after the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. 

    So be ready to still be in Christmas mode...my favorite mode...during January. Also, Elaine, be aware that during your Disney vacation, the Walt Disney World Marathon may be going on, which means crowds will be a but heavy. The Marathon begins January 8, 2020. Just be sure to secure those FastPass+ selections when your dates open and just go with the Christmas flow.
