Planning a trip to Disneyland for the upcoming weekend and would like to know how early we can enter the parks without having Extra Magic hours? This is our first trip to Disneyland and we are used to getting to Disney World theme parks an hour before.

    Hello, Audrina!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m thrilled to hear your first visit to the Disneyland Resort will be here soon! You’re going to love the magic of exploring Walt Disney’s original theme park here in California.

Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are scheduled to open at 8:00 a.m. this weekend. About 30 minutes before Disneyland Park officially opens, Guests are typically allowed to begin entering the turnstiles and gather around the hub at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. while Cast Members rope off the entrances to Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Adventureland. If you begin your day in Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll notice a similar procedure on Buena Vista Street. As soon as the theme parks officially open, the ropes are removed and Guests can proceed to the lands to be among the first to experience attractions that day.

I hope this information helps, Audrina, and that your pixie-dusted visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is all you’ve been dreaming of!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
