    I am planning a trip to Disneyland with my three-year-old twins for February 2019. I was wondering if anyone has any idea when the Star Wars area of the park will be opened. I am hoping actually to go before it opens cause my kids don’t do well in crowds.

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited that you are already planning your Disneyland Resort vacation for 2019! Even though we are all eager to know the details of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at the Disneyland Resort, at this time we still don't have any information on the opening date of this immersive new Star Wars-themed land. My advice is to keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog for any major announcements in the coming year. This will definitely be a popular time to visit the Disneyland Resort and specifically Disneyland Park.

    Since you said your children don't do well with crowds, I will say that historically February crowds have been lighter than other times of the year, and the weather is great! I always bring layers as it may be a little cooler in the early morning and evening. We love visiting this time of year so we can also catch Disney California Adventure Park's Lunar New Year Celebration. This multicultural festival features the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Lunar New Year with a touch of Disney. It's wonderful seeing Characters dressed in traditional garb just for this festival and getting to take part in complimentary craft activities.
