Planning a trip to Disneyland for my son’s b-day. We won’t be there on the actual day. Traveling 1st week April (I know!), his birthday is April 19th. Will he be able to get a Birthday Button or does it have to be on actual birth date? Thanks!

    Hi, William!

I’m so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question. I hope your family—especially the birthday boy—is looking forward to visiting the Happiest Place on Earth this spring!

Yes, you may absolutely pick up a complimentary birthday button for your son at City Hall in Disneyland Park or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park, even if you’re not visiting the Disneyland Resort on the actual date of his birthday. It can be customized with a name so he’ll receive special birthday wishes from Cast Members and fellow Guests all day! If you have any table-service meals planned, be sure to let your server know your party is celebrating a birthday because you may receive some extra magic during the dining experience.

The weeks immediately before and after Easter Sunday can be a very popular period for Guests to visit; however, don’t let the possibility of heavier crowds lessen your excitement! Theme park hours will be long and the entertainment schedule will be full. Plus, with the help of Disney FASTPASS service, you should be able to experience your must-do attractions while spending less time in line.

I hope this helps, William, and that your family enjoys a wonderful Disneyland Resort vacation. Please stop by again with more questions as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
