We are planning a trip to Disneyland in September 2021. I bought tickets and made theme park reservations for 2 adults and a 4 year old. I did not buy a ticket for my 2 year old as they are free. Does my 2 year old need theme park reservations?

Welcome to planDisney, Amanda. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us.

I’m delighted to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with your little ones in September. I bet you’re all excited to experience all the pixie-dusted fun!

Because children under 3 years of age do not need theme park tickets for entry to visit Mickey Mouse and his Pals, theme park reservations will also not be needed for your 2-year-old toddler. So Hakuna Matata! It means “no worries”, Amanda,  as you continue to plan your upcoming trip. Just be sure everyone else in your travel party 3 years of age and older have valid tickets and park reservations for the day(s) you intend to visit the theme parks.

I hope this helps, Amanda. If you have further questions as you plan your trip, please write us again.

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
