Hey, hey Anna and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so glad you asked this question because Mickey and the gang spend a lot of time in the kitchen creating magical morsels for their Guests to enjoy.
I have a few suggestions for you regarding
dining at Disneyland Resort. First, Guests with
special diets or restrictions should contact Disney Dining at 714-781-3463 (DINE) with their needs when making a reservation. In your case, letting them know you have been through bariatric surgery and want smaller portions. Second, at the restaurant speak with the manager about ordering a kids' meal instead of an adult meal. Bariatric surgery is well known now but it will be up to the manager to decide how to best serve you. Your "bariatric card" will be helpful but does not guarantee any discount. Lastly, I would request to pay the child price (if applicable) for the delicious spread at
Goofy's Kitchen. Again, this is at the discretion of the manager on what to do. In general, each restaurant manager will decide how to handle your needs. They may bring you smaller portions of adult meals. One thing is certain: if you do not ask, you will never know. Remember, Disney Cast Members will do what ever they can to make your experience "practically perfect in every way."
Disney Dad Tip: There are
over 20 dining locations that offer
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to help skip the food lines. You may choose a Kids' Meal if that is a better portion and price point for you from mobile order menus.
Anna, enjoy making many delicious and Magical Memories.
