Welcome to planDisney, Corey!
Like you, I'm hoping to cross the Atlantic to see Disneyland Paris
real soon, so I'm delighted to help you with your question today!
As a United States history and government teacher, I have a profound respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made by servicemen and women. Because of this, I've always loved that Disney destinations around the world show are able to demonstrate this appreciation in tangible ways. While the military personnel-exclusive offers often vary annually and by destination, Disneyland Paris is indeed currently offering specially-priced tickets for active and retired military personnel.
This 2 Day / 2 Park Ticket can be purchased online, but you will be prompted to present a valid government-issued identification card at the entrance of the theme park in order to redeem this offer on the date of your visit.
As our world goes increasingly digital, I completely understand your concern about the new acceptance of the new digital IDs as proof of service — especially when traveling abroad. Because I was also unsure, I reached out to a Cast Member for assistance who helpfully shared that as far as he is aware, digital IDs alone are not currently accepted as proof of service. Because these military personnel tickets are reserved for servicemen and women who are either retired or actively serving, he suggested supplementing your digital ID with a recent paystub or proof of pension. If you don't feel that you'll be able to provide sufficient proof of service, you can either purchase
theme park tickets at full price or a
Hotel+Ticket Package that will significantly reduce the price of the tickets in the package.
Once you're in the theme parks, I want to encourage you to take time to enjoy some of the entertainment unique to Disneyland Paris. As a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, I love enjoying magical moments that we don't have at home when visiting Disney destinations around the world. From
Disney Tales of Magic and
Mickey and the Magician to a
dragon secured in the dungeons beneath Sleeping Beauty Castle, there's so much to see!
I hope this was helpful, Corey, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with magical memories. If you're in need of any additional assistance as you continue to plan, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
