Season's greetings, Lori!
Thanks for stopping by with your
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question. Nothing compares to spending the
holidays at The Happiest Place on Earth with the people you love, Lori. Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite places to visit any time of year, but during the holiday season, it's filled with even more magic and merriment!
Guests must have both valid theme park admission and theme park reservations to enter a Disneyland Resort theme park. At the current time,
theme park reservations are available through mid-September 2023. Theme park reservations become available on a rolling basis, Lori, so I would expect theme park reservations for New Year's Eve to open around late August. I encourage you to keep checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar on the Disneyland Resort website for availability of the dates you're hoping to visit! Lori, you can also always modify theme park reservations once made, pending availability and any applicable blockout dates. (My friend and fellow panelist,
Lisa, recently
explained this process to another Guest!)
Lori, I encourage you to start planning out your "holiday must-dos" for your Disneyland Resort vacation now - there's so much holly-jolly fun to be had! In my opinion, there are a few things that are not-to-be-missed:
- Haunted Mansion Holiday - The Haunted Mansion attraction is taken over by Jack Skellington and friends during this frightfully festive holiday overlay!
- Gingerbread display at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa - Don't miss the fabulous gingerbread display in the lobby of this magnificent Resort hotel. You'll even have the chance to purchase a beautiful (and delicious) Mickey-shaped gingerbread cookie!
- A Christmas Fantasy Parade - You'll be toe-tapping along with this festive celebration. Main Street, U.S.A. is my favorite place to watch!
I hope that you've found this information useful, Lori. I'm wishing you a merry and bright holiday visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to revisit us at
planDisney again anytime.
Happy (almost) holidays,
Lauren
