Hi, Cherity! Oh, boy! It's always so fun to see a fellow Washingtonian stop by planDisney. A very warm welcome to you!
I'm so thrilled you have a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth coming up, Cherity! And it looks like you'll be visiting during
Disneyland's 70th Celebration! I'm so excited for all the wonder and fun you're about to experience - like
World of Color Happiness! This all-new nighttime extravaganza is being created especially for Disneyland's 70th Celebration and inspired by Walt Disney’s words from the opening day of Disneyland Park seven decades ago: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!” I can't wait!
Thanks for your great question about
physical tickets at Disneyland! I can understand your desire to have them as a special keepsake for your kids. We love holding on to items from our visit to remind us of all the magical memories we made!
After purchasing your tickets
on the Disneyland website, you may choose to receive either a physical ticket or a Disney eTicket. When you receive your email confirmation, print tickets from the "Access your Ticket" button. Feel free to "jazz" it up by gluing your confirmation onto some card stock or other themed paper.
Another option for a physical ticket, that I confirmed with a Cast Member, is to purchase your theme park tickets in person at the Disneyland Resort ticket booth on the Esplanade. However, you should know, Cherity, that you will not be able to receive physical tickets at the ticket booth if you have already purchased your tickets. This option is also risky if you're planning to visit the parks that day, as
park reservations are required for entry, and there may not be availability.
If you're looking for a special keepsake, Cherity, I recommend picking up complimentary celebratory buttons for your kids while you are in the parks! They are available for Guests of any age and can be found at City Hall on Main Street in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure. You may also ask a Cast Member in any of the shops, as well. No guarantees you'll be able to find the complimentary buttons in the shops, but worth an ask.
I hope I was able to provide some helpful information for you, Cherity! As you continue to prepare for your upcoming visit, please don't hesitate to come back and
ask me another question! I'd love to share more of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland, like maybe where to find seasonal treats or some strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities, especially during the 70th Celebration!
Above all, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you and your family the most magical visit, Cherity!
