Hi there, Michele!
Welcome, and thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. I’m thrilled to hear you’re planning a visit to the
Disneyland Resort, especially if this will be your first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Experiencing
“it’s a small world” Holiday is one of my favorite things about exploring the theme parks during the
holiday season, which typically continues until the first Sunday of January. There is even a special
lighting ceremony and projection show each evening. Seeing the attraction facade transform with thousands of twinkling lights is a pixie-dusted experience! Keep an eye out for a giant clockwork mechanism to appear, revealing a menagerie of holiday toys and treats.
“it’s a small world” Holiday typically closes within the first two weeks of January so the holiday overlay can be removed. While exact dates haven’t been made public yet, I can tell you that the attraction was closed from January 8 through January 18, 2024. This is not a guarantee that the dates for 2025 will be the same, but there’s a good chance they could be similar. Your best bet is to plan your visit for the very first week of January to experience the holiday version or hold off until the last week of the month when
"it's a small world" has returned. As the holiday season approaches, we should receive more information about the exact timeline for seasonal
attraction closures.
I hope this helps you plan, Michele. Please feel free to
write back with any other questions you may have as your vacation draws near!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
