Dawna from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are planning our trip to Disneyland in December, and Theme Park Reservations are not coming available after the 10th - and we check daily. When will these come open?

    Hiya, Dawna!

Welcome BACK to planDisney! It's been a while since we've seen your name in our system, but we're so glad that you're hEAR and that this time you're headed to The Happiest Place on Earth! And during the jolliest time of yEAR, too - how fun!!

One of the post-pandemic reopening protocols put in place is that Guests now need to make Park Pass Reservations in addition to purchasing a Theme Park Admission Ticket. This is so Mickey and his pals know which parks you plan on playing in and on which of your Disney days! Park Pass Reservations open for booking 120 days in advance of each theme park day. It's possible, Dawna, that at the time that you submitted your question your desired Disney dates weren't yet available for booking, but I'm happy to report that I can currently see reservations through December 17. (And so far, December is wide-open.) You should have zero issues making your reservations, but feel free to reach out to the Disneyland Ticket Helpline if you need some assistance. Their number is (714) 781-4636.

Do keep in mind that Park Pass Reservations are only allowed to be made for dates that are currently open; if you're planning on splitting your visit up into a few days one week and a few days another, the last of your Disney days may still be outside of the bookable dates. However, you're more than welcome to reserve what you can now or come back in a few days to get everything all at once. In my semi-professional Disney Parks expert experience, Disneyland Park Pass Reservations do not tend to start to book solid until about a month before, so you should be fine for a while.

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Dawna! Be sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog so you won't miss a Holiday time happening or Disneyland Must-do. And don't forget to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks! Thanks again for stopping by, Dawna, and if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
