Hi Courtney,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you came to us with your question about navigating the parks with your group. Magic is better when shared with loved ones, and with a group that size, I’m sure you’re in for a fantastically fun time!
If you’d like everyone to be able to access their tickets separately, you have a couple of options. When choosing the best option, consider who will be arriving together and who will be going on rides together.
Main Option: Each person can create their own MyDisney profile through the
Disneyland app or
online. Once they’ve created a profile, they can upload their ticket to their own account.
When individuals launch the Disneyland app, they should:
1) Tap the three bars in the bottom right corner.
2) Click the "My Tickets & Passes" box at the top left.
3) Tap the "+" symbol in the upper right corner.
4) Use the "Link Tickets & Passes" option to add the ticket. They can enter the code manually or scan the barcode from the eTicket as it appears on your Disneyland app.
Each person can do this individually, or you can break it into smaller batches. For example, if two sisters are traveling with their families, each could be responsible for linking tickets within their own family group.
Alternative upon arrival: Another option is to link tickets to a
MagicBand+. Each person could have their own MagicBand+ and explore the park independently. This is a great solution if some in your group prefer to split off but aren’t able to create their own profiles. MagicBand+ can be purchased ahead of time from the
Disney Store online. This option is good once everyone arrives, as you will need to MagicBand+ to be in proximity to connect them to your ticket and the Disneyland app.
Courtney, I saw you're planning your trip for September, which is the perfect time to experience
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! The spooky season runs from August 22 to October 31. Plus,
Plaza de la Familia will also be happening at Disney California Adventure from August 22 to November 2. You’ll be there just in time to enjoy all the festive fall décor, entertainment, and seasonal treats! I recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog online or on
Instagram to stay up to date on the latest frightfully fun offerings and delicious food announcements for fall 2025.
Courtney, I hope this info helps you plan a spooktacular trip! If you have any more questions or want more tips and tricks, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to add a little extra sparkle to your planning.
See ya real soon!
