We are planning a trip to disneyland for my daughters 7th birthday? What are your recommendations for rides and how do we get the park magic bands instead of tickets?

    Dear Rosa,
What a wonderful birthday gift for your daughter! A trip to the Happiest Place on Earth will be an unforgettable experience and there are many ways to sprinkle a little extra Pixie Dust during your trip!
The MagicBands are a fantastic feature but they're exclusively offered to guests who visit the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Here at the Disneyland Resort in California, we have the FASTPASS service which allows guests to use their Park ticket to retrieve a return time for some very popular attractions. This is a wonderful way to avoid long wait times and maximize your time at the Parks!
The Disneyland Resort announced a few months ago that there will be a new feature called MaxPass which will allow guests to make FASTPASS selections from their mobile phones for a small fee, however, no further details have been released.
For now, I suggest you plan your Park activities so you can take advantage of FASTPASS as much as possible.
Now, in terms of celebrating your daughter's special day, the Disneyland Resort offers many ways to make birthdays a Magical experience.
She will likely be able to get on most attractions as long as she meets the minimum height requirements. Generally, for most thrill rides at the Disneyland Park, including the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain, the height requirement is 40in (107 cm).
    I hope this helps!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and happy birthday to your daughter!
