I am planning a trip to Disneyland in August and want to stay at one of the hotels. Do you still do military discounts?

    Hi Myla!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for sending this great Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR. Mine is a Military family too, and I just love so much how Mickey and Disneyland Resort thank service members and retirees by gifting such wonderful special offers on both Theme Park Admission Tickets as well as stays at the three Disneyland Resort Hotels.

Yes! Disneyland Resort does indeed offer discounted military hotel rates to those who are Active Duty, Reservists, full retirees, and those who are 100% service-connected disabled. The discount is usually anywhere from 25-40% off per night of what you see listed online. Do note that there are only so many discounts available at each hotel per night, and just because a hotel shows availability on a regularly priced room does not mean that there are any more Military rates available. To book a room at this rate, you will need to call the Disneyland Resort Hotel Reservation phone line at (714) 956-Mickey, or (714) 956-6425.

Pro Tips: These helpful Cast Members sEARch for the discounts available by date, so have a few picked out in case your first and second choice don't work out. Also try to be flexible; sometimes shifting your dates around even by one day makes all the difference. These rates might be sold out Thursday - Sunday but not Wednesday - Saturday!

Bonus Pro Tip: Definitely also check out the military rates at the Good Neighbor Hotels in the Disneyland adjacent area! I like to use the Good Neighbor Hotel list to filter by my required amenities, and then I go to the actual hotel websites to check if they have any military rates.

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Myla! Be sure to check out the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
