Hi, Maria!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I spoke to a Cast Member not long ago about the resources available to Guests in need of special dietary options, and she said it is always best to ask to speak to the chef directly so they can accommodate your family’s specific needs. Many items can be modified because of your sons' allergy with enough notice.
Disney recommends making dining reservations in advance and informing the restaurant of your children’s dietary restrictions so accommodations can be made to suit their needs. You may contact the Disneyland Resort at DLRSpecialDiets@email.disney.com at least 14 days prior to your arrival and after booking all dining arrangements for your visit to make special arrangements.
Although there will be many Halloween treats your sons may need to pass on since they will contain artificial colors, there are sure to be items like cookies, brownies, chocolate candy, cereal treats and even cupcakes that they can enjoy. I’ve seen frosted cupcakes that are decorated with a plastic ring or toy instead of colored frosting or confetti and sprinkles on recent visits. Again, be sure to speak to a Cast Member to confirm which items are safe for them and what may be customizable to eliminate artificial colors.
Please visit Disneyland.com for more information about food allergies and special dietary needs and feel free to ask me any other questions you may have, Maria!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
