Hello I was planning a trip to Disneyland on April 10th and Disneyland California April 11th, 2023. I was wondering if there is any special events or things to do or look out for?

    Howdy Angela!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with your question! Wow, your visit to the Disneyland Resort is coming up! I hope you're looking forward to having a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!

I checked the Entertainment Schedule for the two days of your visit. The biggest special event that is occurring would be the Food & Wine Festival over at Disney California Adventure which runs until April 25. If you are particularly hungry or are visiting with a group with whom you can share food, I would recommend picking up a Sip and Savor Pass and sampling several dishes from the Festival. I really loved the Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese at Garlic Kissed and the Pineapple-coconut Churro from the Cart on Buena Vista Street. I've also heard wonderful things about the Mickey Mouse-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS. The Disney Parks Blog published a comprehensive Foodie Guide so you can pick out your favorite dishes. Don't forget that you can order all the dishes you want from one kiosk and then just present your receipt to pick up your food at subsequent kiosks!

Over in Disneyland Park, they'll be enjoying the Disney100 Celebration all year, with special merchandise and foods offered throughout the Park. I've been collecting the special Disney100 medallions that you can find all around the Resort and it's become a neat little scavenger hunt. The "Magic Happens" Parade will be showing as well, so be sure to catch it if you can. This show only played for a couple of weeks before the pandemic happened, so Cast Member performers were eager to get back on stage and you can tell by the positive energy in this Parade.

Both nighttime spectaculars Wondrous Journeys and World of Color - ONE will be showing so be sure to catch them in the evenings. The Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Park was just refurbished and they've added some neat new effects. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the newest attraction, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway over in Mickey's Toontown! It's become one my favorites already.

I hope that you have an awesome visit to the Disneyland Resort, Angela! If there is anything else that planDisney can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
