Hi, Shiralee! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I recommend spending at least three days at the Disneyland Resort. This will allow you to dedicate one day per park and on your third day you can do anything you might have missed or repeat some favorites. Everything at the Disneyland Resort is within walking distance from one another so navigating the Resort is extremely easy. Keeping this in mind, I believe having three days to explore will allow you to experience the majority of the magic, but still keep a leisurely pace.
Furthermore, with a three-day or longer ticket, you will have access to one
Magic Morning at Disneyland Park on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. This extra hour is absolutely invaluable in my opinion because you can get so much done when the crowds are lower in the morning. Additionally, I always suggest purchasing Park Hopper tickets. It is incredibly simple to hop back and forth between the parks and Park Hoppers allow for maximum flexibility.
The last consideration is if you will attend
Mickey’s Halloween Party which takes place on select nights in September and October and requires a separate ticket. The party is a blast for families as you can dress up in costume, trick-or-treat around Disneyland Park, and enjoy exclusive Halloween entertainment. If you don’t plan on enjoying the party, Disneyland Park will close early to those without party tickets, but Disney California Adventure Park should remain open.
If you have any more questions as you plan your adventure, please stop by again!
