Hi, Crystal! While I have not stayed at the Family Suites at All-Star Music, I did have the opportunity to tour them. The suite, which sleeps 6, is basically 2 standard rooms connected by a door (just like any 2 rooms connecting at a Value Resort.) In one room, you have a queen bed, the kitchenette with mini-frig, microwave and coffee maker, and a full bathroom. The second room has a sofa that pulls out into a full sized bed, and a chair and ottoman, each which turn into pull out twin size beds. A second full bathroom is in this room.
What you pick-up by booking a Family Suite is the kitchenette. What you lose are the 2 double beds in each of the rooms if you were to simply book 2 connecting rooms.
So, if you prefer the kitchenette over actual beds, go for the Suite. If you would rather have "real" beds, not pull-out beds, then just book the 2 connecting rooms, which would sleep 8. With the standard rooms, you do not get the kitchenette, there is no coffee maker, and there is a rental fee if you want a refrigerator.
To see photos of the Family Suite, go to
www.allears.net, click on Accommodations across the top, then click on Photos under All-Star Music on the left side of the page, scroll through until you find the Family Suite pictures.
Personally, I prefer to have "real beds" if we are staying more than a couple of days, and the kitchenette wouldn't get too much use from my family. But for those who enjoy morning coffee in the room, like the convenience of the refrigerator and microwave, and like the extra space, the Family Suites at All-Star Music are a good way to go! Good luck deciding!
