Brittany:
Let's narrow down our choices.
First, you'll want to visit the iconic
Magic Kingdom where you'll find the most attractions that suit the ages of your children from interactive queues to height requirements. It's a must-do for any trip. Next, let's scratch Epcot. Because three of its headliner attractions (Soarin', Test Track, and Mission: Space) have height requirements that your 1-year-old will not meet and your 5-year-old
might not meet, I think there are two better options in the remaining parks for you to consider.
So that brings us to
Animal Kingdom and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. If your children love animals and would love Broadway-quality musicals like the Lion King and Nemo, it's your pick. Even though your 1-year-old will not be able to ride Expedition Everest, Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl, it's a park that can be done in a day. Make sure you visit the
Pangani Forest trails to see the gorillas. On the other hand, Disney's Hollywood Studios includes characters that many children recognize like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Lightning McQueen and Princess Sophia. If your 5-year-old is more familiar with Pixar characters, this park may be more appealing for you. It also includes Star Tours and the Muppets along with The Little Mermaid and The Beauty & the Beast. Because it stays open later than Animal Kingdom, you can leave the park for a nap and return in the evening for Fantasmic, giving it a slight edge for me.
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
