We are planning a trip to Disney World. We have two boys. They just turned 2 and 4. How many days would you think would be good to visit Disney World? I want them to have a good time but not too long that they get to tired to enjoy the whole trip.

    Robert:

I would give you different advice from someone who, say, lives in the Northwest or overseas....

Because you live in Alabama and are close enough to drive--and even possibly plan a future visit--I'd recommend coming for 5 days at a minimum.  With small children, the travel days can get them off their little body schedules and so a shorter trip (that you may have been more inclined to, it sounds like) doesn't allow for "settling in" time.  Five days plus your two travel days allows you one day in each park and a day to enjoy your resort, Downtown Disney or a water park.

Although it's hard for me to fathom that even a youngster would "get too tired," many European guests come for two week "holidays" and my friend in England never tires of it!  So I don't know that there's a maximum! I'd just let your budget determine that!

There's so much to do at Disney World that you could do something different with your boys every day for probably three months!  And the longer you stay, the more time you can build in to allow them to enjoy downtime at the pool or just a simple day fishing at Fort Wilderness.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
