We are planning our 1st trip to Disney World. We are staying at a Disney Resort, how does transportation from the resort to the parks work? We have Park Hopper tickets, can we travel between resorts easily?

Hi Nichole! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited about your upcoming FIRST Walt Disney World Resort Vacation! I hope our team can help answer your questions so everything is stress-free and magical for your family.

One of my favorite perks of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the Complimentary Resort Transportation. Going between your resort hotel to any one of Disney's amazing theme parks, water parks, or Disney Springs on a Resort Bus is stress free. Each Disney Resort Hotel has a bus stop area generally located just outside the entrance to its lobby. Some resorts even have multiple stops.

Buses start running about 45 minutes before each parks scheduled opening for the day, and come back around every 20 minutes. There are usually multiples buses scheduled to pick up the first hour or so to help get everyone where they want to go. The majority of bus stops have TV monitors estimating the arrival time of the next bus and to which park it's going. Once on the bus it's anywhere from a 7 to 15 minute ride to your destination. When you're ready to go home, simply return to the same area where you were dropped off. Buses run all day, including up to two hours after each parks individual closing. The last bus from Disney Springs, however, does head back to each hotel at 2 a.m. (Also note that bus service from all parks to Disney Springs starts at 4 p.m. daily.)

To hop between parks you'll return to the area where the first bus dropped you off and locate the bus stop of the park where you'd like to go. It's that easy!

I hope this helped with your park hopping planning, Nichole, and we'll see you real soon!
