We're planning a trip to Disney World in the spring and want to play FootGolf on one of our non-park days. Is it possible to walk to the course from either the Grand Floridian or Polynesian resorts if we had lunch there beforehand?

Hello, Brenda and thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

Brenda, I'm so happy to chat with you about extra activities at the Walt Disney World Resort and as it so happens, my family and I played FootGolf just this past summer! Since your visit is in May, I encourage you to bring a water bottle (or two) with you to the course. Since space is abundant, but shade is not, it's very important to plan for hydration!

Now, Brenda, let's talk about getting to and from your tee time! While the course is in the vicinity of the Magic Kingdom Park resorts, there is not a convenient walking path from either Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course so I would not recommend attempting that trek. However, I'm happy to share that as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest with a confirmed tee time, you can book complimentary transportation with the Front Desk Concierge at your resort. My family and I used this service and the morning of our FootGolf reservation I checked with the Front Desk and the Cast Member was able to call a van and then the Cast Members in the Pro Shop at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course set up return transportation.

Brenda, I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to spring at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional questions, please SWING on back to planDisney where we'd love to see you for another ROUND.
