We are planning a trip to Disney World in September with our 2 children, boy 8, girl 4. We are debating between staying at the Wilderness Lodge and the Art of Animation. We will be spending time between Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, recommendations?

    Hi Kathy,

September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! Since most kids are back to school, it's less crowded than the summer and the weather is usually nice and warm.

The Wilderness Lodge is absolutely beautiful, but given the ages of your kids, I'd probably recommend that you stay at Disney's Art of Animation. I visited there when my kids were 6 and 8, and they absolutely loved it. It's their favorite resort of any of Disney property because of the vibrant colors and fun theme. The family suites are really convenient too. You will need to take a bus to the parks, but in our experience it wasn't inconvenient at all.

Of course, the Wilderness Lodge is a great option also, but if you want a kid-friendly theme, I think you'll love the Art of Animation.

    Have a great vacation!
